I've owned my XDm 40 for years and love it, but I have a suppressor now and would like to use it. Unfortunately my 40 doesn't have a threaded barrel but I figured I could just purchase a new threaded barrel to solve the problem, however the only threaded barrel I can find is from BarSto and costs dang near as much as a new pistol. I see that Springfield sells 10mm threaded XDm barrels for $159 which is definitely worth it, but can I simply swap my 40 s&w barrel for the 10mm barrel? To me it seems like a simple question but I've learned in life that most of the simple ideas I have don't turn out to be so easy. Has anyone done this or have first hand knowledge of this conversion and if will work? Thanks.
