I recently recieved an Uncle Mikes ankle holster (size 12) for my XDS which I use for a back-up gun while on-duty. For the first week I had no problems; fit great, comfortable, easy draw, etc. But now, my front sight is starting to catch on the inside of the holster as I am attempting to draw it out. It is beginning to catch so bad that it requires two hands to get the gun out (pretty big no no)! I actually picked up the Uncle Mikes holster after seeing some positive reviews here in the forum. Anyone else have this problem? Solutions? Buy a new holster? Thanks in advance.

I've had some pocket pistol holsters and the same thing started to happen to them, usually it's that little extra piece of material that sticks out along the seams. See if that's what is holding up the XDs and trim it if possible.

I know it won't be easy to figure out on an ankle holster but that's about all I can think it is...

Good luck! M2

It must be the way the holster material is forming to the position of carry.

Is the muzzle end of the holster nosing up causing a wrinkle or crease in the mateial behind the front sight Maybe? You may need to adjust the calf strap to support a higher carry.
