I just want to know if I can replace the XDs .45 ACP 3.3” barrel for a 4” barrel. Not worried about changing weight or how it’s gonna fire. Can this be done?

Not a expert but I don't see why it wouldn't. Just be a little stick out pass the slide

So how did your 4" barrel plan work out?

I imagine that I am not the only person here that is interested.

I’m guessing no workie because of the extra thickness right at the muzzle to lock into the slide.

I have a XD45.2 3.3" Subcompact and it's a great little 45. On the barrel swap- I would call Springfield and ask if there are differences in the locking lugs.
