I have all of the XDms and my .40 came with the OD frame. I was wondering if you can swap the slide from the XDm9 to the XDm40 frame so I can carry the OD frame with the XDm9 slide - essentially just giving me an XDm9 in OD.

I prefer to carry the 9 as I like the sights (Trijicon HDs) and the round better than the 40 at this time. I just want to carry the OD version

I have swapped the slide between them and dry-ran a mag through each to see if there were any feed or eject issues. Magazines fit fine between them etc.

I hope to shoot both weapons today as long as I can get to the range but just figured I would ask.

.40 and 9mm frames are same. I swap around all the time. Have fun!

All the same between 9 and .40.
I used to do that with my XD .45's because at one time only one slide had night sights installed & I needed the compact frame to CCW. Cool having a long slide on the compact frame!
