Hi - I am a new guy and am interested in an XDM 40. I know it has a match barrel, but does that mean it has tight match tolerances in the chamber itself?

I currently carry a 12 year old G23 with a sloppy, loose chamber, and it is reliable as a rock, and just as boring. I can't remember the last time it had a failure of any kind. I recently bought a Steyr M40-A1 and really like that gun, but it has a very tight match chamber and is rather finicky about ammo and has experienced many FTF and FTE, so I dare not use it for concealed carry. I am hoping to get things worked out, and then use it for punching paper.

So I am hoping the XDM isn't as tight as the Steyr but not so sloppy bad as the Glock ... ;) How reliably does the XDM feed and eject ammo of all types, especially lead reloads?

My wife doesn't want me to buy any more guns, so I will have to spend this Christmas working on breaking down her defenses.....

Thanks very much.
