Been lurking here for some time, but this is my first post.

Just got off the phone with one of my favorite gun shops to inquire about an XDM 9mm. I called last week, and they offered to order one for me at a very reasonable price. Turns out that they got one in today, and it is an olive drab frame, and black slide.

I have a couple of all black Glocks, and was wanting an OD gun any way, but I didn't think that they were making the 9mm XDM in OD yet.

Has anyone else heard of it?

He gave a UPC code of XDM9231HCSP.

I told him to hold it for me, so I should be a new member of the XDM family soon.

I jut got an email back from springfield that listed the UPC codes for the OD frame.
The 9mm XDm is available in OD green.
Part # and MSRP
40S&W - Xdm9232hcsp $679
9mm with stainless - Xdm9241hcsp $749
9mm with black should be XDM9231HCSP... but not sure.

Picked up my new XDm on Saturday, and had a very rushed range session, so the accuracy probably was not as good as it should have been, but gave me a good feel for the gun any way.

Target from same day same distance with G26, and G20. The G20 results suprised me. The G20 has a 3.5 lb connector in it, which may have helped. Out of the 15 rounds, 3 were very hot loads, and the other 12 were FBI light.

I am quite pleased with my new family member, and will give it a better workout next weekend when I have more time.

whats the price on the new XDM9's? my XDM40 was right around $600 + tax

Im thinking about getting a 9 because of the cost of ammo and I absolutly love my xdm40, the same gun in 9mm would rock!!!

very nice gun. i recently aquired the taste for OD frames and picked up a g19 in OD. i love it. ive seen in a magazine a pic of the XDM9 in OD stainless. i love that look as well as ur black slide. nice gun and nice shooting!

My local shop had just on XDm in and it's an OD/SS 9mm. It's a sharp looking gun. I think a buddy of mine from work may be going down to get it here soon.

I think im going with the OD/ black as soon as I come up with the extra funds.

maybe I can convince the ole lady that bye quitting smoking I am saving 300 bux a month so on my 2 months aniversary of being smoke free I can buy a new shooter. mmmm motivation!

I'm thinking about getting a second XDm 9mm, but this time in Bi Tone. If the top ends are interchangeable, I would have all 4 color combinations. (Stainless slide, black slide, OD frame, and black frame). Also thinking about spare parts, just in case there comes a time when parts are not available any more.

Got my 2nd XDM, the 9mm Black/Olive, today at the Fredericksburg gunshow. First Olive 9mm I've seen in person, and the only one at the show. The dealer said he just got it in on Wednesday. Can't wait to see how it compares to my XDM .40.

Re that first shot flyer, I've noticed that I have the same thing -- first shot out of a newly loaded magazine almost always is a flyer at about seven or eight o'clock. Must have something to do with the difference between a round loaded after a shot is fired, i.e., the slide cycles harder, or something.

Any cure for this?
