Hi, just ordered my new xdm in 9mm. I'm going to use it for uspsa limited competition. I'm trying to decide which guide rod to use. I can get a steel one for around $20, but the tungsten is $80. I've got a tungsten insert in my xd 40 tactical and it works fine, but with the reduced recoil of using a 9mm is the extra money worth it? Just looking for some opinions.
Thanks

If you are going to shoot Limited in USPSA I strongly suggest a hi-cap in .40. If you shoot 9mm you better be fast and not miss due to the lower points for shooting minor. The new XDM in .40 is a good answer to that problem. A lot of depends on how serious you are about competing. I have set up my XD for production with parts from www.dawsonprecision.com Home Page and Tactical Technologies, both have good product at fair prices.
