It the .45 the same size as the 9mm? I know the holster guy has a 9mm.

 

my XDM 10MM fits any holster that is made for an XDM 45 so far.

one hell of a pistol IMO. enjoy it!

 

XDm 10/45 same. XDm 9/40 are same.
XDm 9/40 slides are slightly smaller than 10/45 and frames/grip are noticeably smaller.. Not enough to make a difference in a leather holster or thinner Kydex but thick Kydex that doesn’t flex as easy or screw tensioned holsters you will notice that the 10/45 fits a bit tighter.

 

This is exactly the information I was looking for. But before I found this thread I emailed Springfield. They confirmed: XDm 10/45 same. XDm 9/40 are same.

It's good to know though, the dimension differences are minor and a leather holster built for a XDm 9MM could work with a XDm 10MM, albeit surely a little tight until it breaks in.

 

Since Panther Concealment didn’t have either a blue gun or real XD(M) in 10mm or .45, I took detailed measurements with my digital calipers, plus overall slide length, and emailed the measurements to them.

Jim, the owner, built up his XD(M) 9 (with tape, I think), and made up something to create the proper slide OAL.

I now have both OWB and IWB Panther kydex holsters that fit my new 4.5 10mm pistol like a glove!

I believe that now makes nine holsters and two IWB fixed blade knife sheaths that Panther Concealment has made for me.

If you haven’t given them a try, you really should check them out.

I use my PC holsters much more than any of my several custom made leather holsters. They’re comfortable for all day wear, and the draw speed you can achieve from a Panther is ridiculously fast.

That’s pretty damn good customer service.

May have to look at them in the future.

 

For range and competition use I use for all my
XDm’s is Comptac 5.25” international holster with thumb screws for quick tension adjustment.
For field carry while hunting/ hiking I use Keani chest holster.
I don’t carry 10mm IWB only OWB. Too long but if carry my other 4.5” XDm’s iwb I like Comptac and crossbreed hybrid holsters.
