I've put about 500 rounds through my XD 9mm since new with all but 25 rounds being WWB. I haven't had a single issue and the accuracy has been on spot.
Each pistol is different and yours may just be tempermental with that certain type of ammo for whatever reason. If it works fine with other types of ammo I would continue to shoot that.
