I've never shot the CZ but I hear they are good pistols. I think the strong point of the XD is the trigger. Right out of the box the trigger is pretty sweet.
I like the CZ because of the weight. I still carry an XD because it is lighter.
More weight is definitely an advantage in competitive shooting. That is why IDPA has a weight limit in all their pistol divisions.retired said:I like the CZ because of the weight. I still carry an XD because it is lighter.
Gary, would you please explain that apparent contradiction? Are you saying the heavier weight of the CZ is more advantageous in competitive shooting? Other than that, I can't see where that statement makes sense. Thanks.
At a tactical pistol course, it only took a few hundred rounds (much of it rapid fire) before the CZ went kaput. The only guns that survive the entire course on a consistent basis are the SAO and DAO guns, and most are Glocks and with a couple XD's.orc4hire said:The CZ-75 is about as fragile as a hammer.
The only reason I even clicked this thread is that I OWN one (P-01), so I am speaking from experience. I wouldnt ever, ever put it against my Glock (19) or the Springfield XD I own.BigBob68 said:CZ is fragile? Nightraider, I do question your knowledge of the CZ if you think it is too fragile. 6 posts and 2 that are incorrect. Learn a little more about the CZ before calling them fragile. Polymer vs. Steel or Alloy. How is it that the P-01 is the only NATO approved handgun? It must be fragile too. Geez!
