If I have an issue with my XD45, it's the stiffness of the recoil spring. I've overcome it for the most part with the use of a Slide Racker. Has anyone tried the DPM system? If so, has it changed the energy required to rack that slide?

Physics. The spring is that strong for a reason.
I understand the need for a specific spring weight, but the design and how that combination of springs is assembled also has a play in it. Pick any other firearm using a double spring recoil system and a 18/17 lb spring, and I've yet to find one that difficult to rack the slide on. Hence the question about the DPM system. Different rod configuration and probably different spring configuration may combine to provide the correct spring weight without the heavy pull. I'm good with the slide racker, but would prefer not to have it given the option.

I had bought a double recoil spring rod combo for my Ruger P90 years ago. Don’t remember who made it but was supposed to lessen racking effort but still protect the frame. It pretty much works like they said, the first couple of inches starts out easier and progressively gets firmer. The last 3/8” or so comes up to some fairly stiff resistance to slow the slide. So if you’re trying to lock the slide back without the mag it actually takes more effort to hold the slide back and raise the lock. It was also supposed to improve accuracy, cure world hunger bla bla bla. I mainly bought it to see if it would help with primer wipe and it did help a little bit on that part.
This has helped more than any gun gimmick accessory and works for All your handguns.

I've got something similar, but Artyritis and his brothers has taken a toll on my grip these days. Like I said, the Slide Racker works well, just rather not have something hanging off the slide if I don't have too.
