I decided to get a couple of back up parts and inquired about obtaining a replacement recoil spring and rod.

The answer from SA was
"Sorry for the short answer but we currently offer no springs for the SC"

So it sounds like if you bought or plan to buy the XD 40 SC
- does not sound like they plan to have parts.
They do have them for other models

The solutions sounds like having to work through the custom department

Sorry to hear they do not support their gear.
I would definitely advise against anyone from getting the sub compact

I am confused by your post, the layout and color does not make sense.

So you emailed Springfield armory and they said they could not sell you the recoil spring assembly?

What is the bit about [email protected]?

The SC has a captured recoil guiderod and spring. Of course they are not going to sell the springs by themselves.

Agreed, not sure if it happens other places, but I guess it does.

So if someone else is saying they can - I will call in themorning and post if the information was wrong

I had sent a copy of their response to their customer service and have not had a reply yet.

Again springs are not sold separate because the are captive to the guide rod. Why is it that one of our members received a reply within 45 min of asking a question and you have been ignored. Did you send it to gunsprings.com?

ok, then, not a troll message but the email address you referenced in your first post is in no way from Springfield Armory as I proved in my link to gunsprings.com

I also provided you with a valid email from SA that I sent today and received a response within 10 minutes.

and yes, it took me 30 mins to post my response from SA, but in all fairness to SA, the email was sent @ 4:07 today and I got a reply @ 4:18, thats exactly 11 minutes from when I sent it and to me, is damn good service and should be noted.

I am positive the OP made a mistake and emailed Wolff by mistake

Like I've been telling you the guide rod and spring are captured they don't come apart so they can't sell just the spring.

You would have to un-weld (break) the guide rod to get the spring out.
