Just got my pistol back from Canyon Creek and just the feel of the trigger has made me ecstatic ...and I havent even shot it yet! I plan on using my XD40 service for IDPA and CCW use.
This is what I had done
Dawson Precision F/R, FO adjustable sights
Dons guide rod and spring
Extended mag release installed
Trigger Pull reduced
Trigger over travel stop reduced
Trigger pre Travel/Reset reduced
First impression, without firing one round, is WOW!!! I mean, I cant wipe the smile off my face at the difference, the trigger work is a MUST HAVE. My 10yr. old son thinks Im crazy, but once I showed him the difference between my Glock trigger and the XD, he started smiling almost as much as I was. So if a 10yr. old can appreciate the difference, Im sure any novice shooter will.
The sights are incredible, target acquisition is much faster and the extended mag release has sped up my reloads just in the 15 or so minutes I have been practicing. As for turn around time, CC received the gun on the 2/14 and he shipped it on 2/21. That is extremely quick turnaround for such high quality work. Hats off to Rich at Canyon Creek, I HIGHLY recommend him.
