does anyone know or has anyone tried to put an xdm slide catch in a regular xd? I just like the looks of the xdm catch better.

I'be thought of this too. I never even use it, cause I'm a lefty and just can't get used to trying to grab it witha finger, so I just slingshot. But it'd be cool to have the slide lock, and the take down lever from an XdM on an Xd.

It will fit, don't know if its been done though, but the aftermarket ones fit both guns so.....

Yes it fits. I took the XDM one off and put it in my XD. Since I put a pistol gear slide stop on I just had to try.
