I've had nothing but issues with the CW45. It refused to go into battery without that extra push. I reduced the extractor spring force but taking about 0.02" off the spring rod. That helped getting the slide to snap the extractor's claw over the rim. It seemed to have helped but not 100%. I won't settle for less than 100% reliability. I then upped the main recoil spring to 20 lbs. so the slide will slam the claw home easier, that too has helped.

The extractor isn’t supposed to snap over the rim, the rim is supposed to slide under the extractor from the magazine. Dropping a round into the chamber and releasing the slide will eventually break the extractor.
