Hi, anyone know any good places in Maryland for purchasing an XD-40 sub bi-tone and approximately how much are they going for? I don't care where in Maryland I'll travel anywhere needed for good service and a fair price.

Bought my service .40 bi-tone at Gunrunners in Frederick for 513 I think. Of course add another 80-100 for MD fees, gunlock they make you buy and tax. Checked at the other shop in Frederick (Gun Center, I think), and at Atlantic Guns in Rockville. No one had a .40 service in stock. Atlantic and Gun Center had 9mm tac and service respectively. Gunrunners was about 30-50 less than the others. Service was very good at Gunrunners and Atlantic. Also checked a shop out in laurel I think and called Bass Pro, neither one carried them.

If you're willing to have the FFL order it for you, I recommend Otto's Police Supply in Glen Burnie. I ordered my SA MC Operator thru him and got a fair deal......beat the snot outta OnTarget's price!!

PM me if you'd like his email address.

I bought my XD Sub in 9mm from Lou (and a couple of other guns and supplies) in Bowie. I have had a good experience with him but I can't really comment on his prices because I haven't compared.

You might be able to get some insight from http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=41372207

Barts in Glen Burnie has a presence on Davidsons. If you go to the Davidson's site, you can search for them and find out what they would charge for the pistol. My guess is they are very expensive from what I've seen in the case there. I would certainly spend no more than these guys are asking for one.

Atlantic Guns has two shops and they seem reasonably priced (I've bought two pistols from them)

You'll find no deals in MD. I spend some time in Connecticut and everything there is $50 or more cheaper without all of the gun lock and state check (of course you have to have a permit to purchase or a permit to carry to actually buy a pistol there)

Good Luck

Hi,
Thanks for the information guys, there definitely are no deals to be had in Maryland unfortunately. Especially with the supplemental locks handguns must have. I finally purchased my XD-40 with three mags and a holster, when it was all said and done it ran me $500 including a mandatory class to even be able to purchase the gun. Oh well I hope things in Maryland change soon or I may surely be looking to relocate.
