I have heard/read that they are interchangeable, but what model sigs fit the xd's.
I'm torn between getting another set of Express 24/7's but with the smaller front sight. (got them on my USP)

or getting Ameriglo's Speed Rings .. sugges..

TRIJICON STATES: SIG sight set SG01- 3 dot green front & green rear night sight set, fits P225, 226, 228, 239, Sig Pro, Sig Pro 2009. Also fits the Springfield XD-9, XD-40, and XD-357.

The SG01 set has a #8 front & #8 rear.

Sights that fit the SIG models P220 (with dovetail), P229, P240, Pro 2340, Pro 233, Pro 245 and P245, are not mentioned with the above models. This is listed as SIG part # SG03 which has a #6 front & #8 rear.

MEPROLIGHT STATES:
ML-10110 Sight set for Sig P220, P225, P226, P228 (also fits Springfield XD-9, XD-40, XD-357).

Note: I have the above mentioned Meprolights on one my XD-9 Service models.

TruGLO sights are not listed in model specific sets to fit Sig. Instead, they list a #8 front/#8rear sight model TG231S1 and a #6 front/#8 rear sight model TG231S2. However, when listing parts to fit the Springfield XD, TruGlo uses a Front/Rear combo set TG231X .....

In my research, I have found that most if not all XD models come stock with #8 front and rear sight blades.

Hope this helps.

Changing the sight numbers will raise or lower the point of impact. Most Sig sights from the more common models will physically fit on the XD.

Good thread. So is a #6 taller or shorter than a #8? If someone has a chart that explains the height of each number in the series- we be cookin', then.
