my first range report post. i've had my xd 9 sc for about a month. today's range session was 100 rounds. i've put about 300 rounds through including today and it's my first pistol. i'm very new to shooting in general so any advice to help me improve would be greatly appreciated.

i'm not really worried about the shots that were way off since i'm so new and most of those were my first shots so i was finding my groove, unless i should worry about the first ones?

i've looked at the pistol correction chart but what does it mean for 'breaking wrist up'? by my shot placement i see that's a big problem i have. i know i'm also anticipating the recoil because sometimes i'll catch myself pushing the gun down.

any advice for me or drills to do? i was shooting at seven yards.

Good shooting. Practice, practice. Try some snap cap drills for the flinching. Dry fire practice also helps. Remember safety first!

Two words–Snap Caps. I've had my SC a little over a month and was terrible with it at first. But dry firing has helped a lot. It's tedious but worth it.

Practice. The fact that you can pinpoint your errors shows you are progressing.
