I tried the 147's loaded with 3.0 of 310 and had problems with the slide not having enough movement to close. I tried the 115 WW factory (Wal Mart) and the gun ran fine. I tried lighter springs & etc, but was advised to stay with the 18 lb spring by XD guru Rich. I now use the 124 MG JHP's with 4.1 of VV 320, OAL of 1.152 and it runs fine. If some of you have problems with the 147 reloads try this one. It works well in my gun.

Once my XD9 Tactical arrives (within 2-3 weeks) I'll have a comprehensive test with it using the following bullets with both N320 and N340 powder:

Rainier 124gr. RN
Rainier 124gr. HP
Rainier 147gr. TRN
Frontier 124gr. RN
Partizan 115gr. RN
(and maybe Hornady 121gr. HAP)

Will post as soon as it's done.

Titegroup is what us poor folks use who don't want to blow $25/pound for powder. 3.1gr makes about 900fps with a 147.

Dirtier, but I'm going to clean my gun regardless of if I'm shooting the cleaner VV or dirtier TG.

I buy VV320 by the 4lb. keg and pay 19.50 per lb.
