Which XD-9 Service parts are most subject to wear and possible breakage? I would like to buy spares in case of an emergency.

recoil rod
extractor
followers
magazine springs

What else?

Is Springfield the only source?

Don't forget you have a lifetime warranty from Springfield Armory should anything go wrong. The only weakness I've read about on this forum is that some have had the guide rod end break off and render the pistol useless. Although I havn't replaced it myself on my XD-9 Service, I would suggest you spend the 25 bux and get that taken care of. (I may be right behind you on that one). Everything else is just happy days and cold beer. :mrgreen:
