So I live in COMMIFORNIA and I want a larger capacity magazine. As you all know it is illegal to buy them and have them shipped here. I'm exploring my options and came up with a dumb idea. I was thinking of simply replacing the springs with a 16 rounder but that did not work. I know stupid me.

So after putting my magazine back together I was curious if I might have assembled it incorrectly. I know the black piece that pushes the bullets up is correct because i looked at my other mag, but the spring I'm not so sure about. Is there a certain way to put it in or I can use either end?

By no means am I expressing in any way to illegally use any magazines over 10 rounds but carefully read the laws regarding anything over 16 rounds and you may find something interesting in there about owning them before a certain date and how it affects to today. It may help you out with your problem

Also the shape of the spring should match the body of the magazine. It can only be tried two ways.

The XD40 10 round mag will hold 15 9m and function fine in the XD9.
