Pretty much the same issue here. Loading the mags is rather tough as well. I bought some Up Lula(?) loaders because of this gun. I load a single round by hand into the gun then put the mag. in. What I've found is that I have to really bang it in to get it to catch. If I wanna unload the fully loaded gun, I bang on the bottom of the mag. as I push on the mag. release. The other thing that bothers me about my gun is that when fully loaded, the mag. release rattles.
