XD-40 Guide rod spring weight?

How heavy are the stock guide rod springs in the XD-40? I am going to buy a replacement rod and spring from pistol-gear and want to get an idea of how much weight I would be adding to my slide rack with the 22# spring. It seems teh 22# spring is the popular upgrade. My goal is to replace the potentially faulty stock rod and moderately reduce felt recoil.

I think its around 18lbs.

I use a 22# and a 24#, but mostly the 24#. It works great and isn't that hard to rack the slide. I like the 22# when I am shooting lighter charge reloads.

I use the 22# in mine. I like it better than the stock 18#, and have had no problems with it.

Never tried the 24#.
