Hey guys,
had to do something I really didn't want to, just bought my first Rem 700 chambered in .308. Went to Gander Mountain and all they had was the massively marked up federal .308 hunting loads, and then WWB .308.
If you live in the midwest, especially in the last 2 days, I was so determined to shoot I was out in that ****ing mess yesterday, DETERMINED TO SHOOT. So with that, I bought 60 rounds of the WWB .308.
Factoring in the wind, SNOW, below freezing windchill, and a novice scope shooter, I was still posting 1inch-1.25inch groups with the WWB ammo.
I didn't even really log any of the shots, it was more for barrel break in, I am the 2nd owner and it was only shot 20 times before me, with the rain/snow writing would have been tough.
My question is, WWB is no where near match grade, but what do you guys think of the load? It did well in the conditions above and it was cheap. Anyone else shoot WWB in their bigger caliber rifles?
