Will XD Mag Pouches fit any other magazines?

1851 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  xHypex
I know other magazines can be used in the XD (i.e. Beretta), but do the adjustable mag pouches work for any other magazines like maybe Glock, Sig, HK?

I'm not trying to misuse equipment, but I am interested to know if there is any commonality that would allow me to use the same pouches with different guns for competition in the future.
Gun + Holster + Pouches + Magazines gets expensive pretty quickly

Thanks

Magazine sizes are pretty well the same, being three types:

Single stack
Double stack 9mm/40
Double stack 45

Most of the time unless you're talking competition gear, they all pretty well work with one another.

This is true except for Glock and H&K mags. I use the same mag pouches for all my double stack 9mm and .40 mags.

I figured as much, but since I haven't handled many magazines from the different manufacturers I wasn't totally sure.

So what makes the Glock and HK magazines different? I know USP and USP Compact magazines differ, but based on your statement are the Glock mags larger than the average double stack 9mm/40 mag?

The guns I'm most interested in for the future would probably be a Fullsize HK USP , G17/G19, and maybe a Sig P226.
