Ok so I am new to the xd and xdm world but would these work in the xdm 40?

From what I understand XD mags do not work in the XDm and vice versa.

No, they wont.

I have a XD-40 and a XDm-40. The mags are not interchangable, because the design of the XDm-40 mags are a hair bigger so that they can squeeze in 16+1 rounds.

the XDm mag. is thicker than the XD mag. the XD mag would shake around to much causing missfeeds.
