I'm going to be picking up a few spare magazines. Should I get the OEM stuff from Springfield, or is the Pro Mag brand good as well. Or does it really matter?

James nailed it.

Springer precision will ion bond the mags black, works very well.

Other sponsers may do it as well, I just know Springer does them with good results

Don't take a sharpie to them, that's like painting your car with a can of krylon

That's what I figured, but sometimes you get surprised by the aftermarket.

Factory mags have worked well for me.

The Mec-Gar magazines are only available in Black. Mec-gar makes the "factory" OEM magazines for a bunch of different gun companies including S.A.

They used to make Sig mags as well, but I've been reading checkmate makes them now.
I actually prefer the Mec-gar mags over the Sig mags.
Even though they are both made by Mec-gar, the Mec-gar brand has a higher capacity..

Our newest sponsor sells XD mags..
TGS is the best..
