I believe he got the hammer. Some folks here are too big of (insert term for female genitalia here) and get offended when people like K point out that they are Benedict Arnolds for freedom when they vote dem as a gun owner.

I think he is a great guy and I always liked reading his posts. I have started using two of his terms, democommie and Barack Ebola, so that his legend here may live on!

Barack Ebola. Classic 57K. I'm thinking you are probably right in that he got the hammer. Too bad...he was a wealth of information. I remember after a 30 day suspension he wrote a post that started basically, "this may be my last post" but fortunately he was around after that. You're right....he had no tolerance of gun owners voting dem.

57K seems to follow the philosophy of Sir Francis Bacon who said "Reading makes a full man; writing an exact man" in that he is well read, and is sure to include enough information and opinion in his writing so there is no doubt of what he is trying to convey. Regrettably, this also applied to his sometimes pointed political references and the voting habits of other members. Even as I sometimes winced at some of these remarks, I still like the guy and consider him a friend though we sometimes disagree. I would collaborate with him again on some reloading project should we again have a common interest. There are many ways to express the same thoughts. I just wish 57K had occasionally taken a different tack so he could still be with us here.

He does do some writing on the Ruger Forum, and of course the Western Powder Blog as well as some other places, though less frequently.
