Hey guys, this my first post...Gotta say, i love my XD, I have the 2 tone 357 sig version...what an AWESOME round this is. I am a civilian, with a CCW here in Ohio. Since I got the XD, I have been phasing out my Kahr MK40 (This is also an awesome piece) and carrying my XD more and more. I just got a set of Trijicons for it, but don't have a clue how to swap them out...I've been told I can do it myself, but not sure...Does anyone know how?

There seems to be alot of posts about changing/moving sights on the forums. I have been looking at them considering replacing them myself. It looks from what I've read that it ranges from easy to damn near impossible to do yourself; seems to be luck of the draw. Some people do it with hammer and punch while others have it done by gunsmiths. It also seems people have varying degrees of success using universal sight pushers. I know I'm not telling you much on how to do it, but if you do a search on sight remove or sight replacement you should get several of them. Anyhow, good luck.

+1 for ajames!

I too recently bought a set of green/green Meprolights for my XD40. $75 plus shipping, which is a smokin deal to begin with. Throw in the free install he offers and you've saved yourself about $20-30 additional dollars unless you are a do-it-yourselfer (I've read too many bad stories on this forum about sight installs for me to attempt it). James gave me a super fast turnaround time and it was a quality job all the way around. I'd highly recommend him!
