Have Don make you one. If you are in
a pinch, go to the local plumbing supply
house and get a nut threaded to that
spec. or maybe the local hardware store.
Either of the latter should have them in
stock. Use it until you get the nicer
machined one.

You can usually find them at gun shows.

If you look up a Class III dealer in your area, I'm sure you could get one from them.

You might also try EFK or Bar-Sto if you feel like ordering one. Since they thread barrels, I'm pretty sure they would know where to find them.

Impact Guns also sells them on their site.

Good luck!

Maybe Big Bore in N. PHX has them, he's a class 3 dealer and he sells silencers.
It would help if you told us what it's going on.

Keep in mind that if it is for an H&K the threads are either right or left handed depending upon if you need one for a Tac or a Mk23.

The 1/2x28 sounds like you want to cover the threads on an AR barrel. You won't be able to go to the hardware store and buy that size of a nut as some have suggested.

Standard sizes are 1/2x13 (coarse) and 1/2x20 (fine). All other 1/2 inch threads are bastard (specialty) threads.

However, IF you want to make your own, get a 1/2x28 tap. Travers tool sells a few. One part number that should work for you is 14-803-228. The tap is $8 or 14-032-281 also like $8.

You won't find this stuff except at specialty places.
