Way back when, before the loss of the topics, there were a few suggestions for getting a XD in Texas. I am near San Antonio and I've been to a few shows, but I am interested in buying from a shop or dealer. Thanks.

Oshman's carries XDs. I stopped by the Houston Galleria area Oshman's today and they sell for 439 i beleive. This is a decent price from a store.

Other than that, gunbroker always has a selection.

At a recent show in Pasadena one dealer had nib service and sc for 385+ tax. 400 out the door is probably possible.

just bought xd-9 4" today , $439.00 + tax after tax came out to $489.00 i think,with 50 rounds of ammo. at carters country in pasadena. 713-475-2222.

Academy Sports had a couple of XD's the last time I bought ammo here in Plano. Most local gunshops will carry them. There's also a local mail order place here in Lewisville: http://www.sportingarms.com/

Carters Country in Pasadena is where I got mine. They have a free finance sale that makes it hard to shop for new production guns anywhere else. Also, Gander Mountain in Houston has good XD pricing. Check Academy in Austin and Houston as well.

Hell..this is TEXAS...guns are everywhere...this ain't Massachusetts or New Yawk...you cannot swing a dead cat and miss a place that sells gun in this state. Ok, Toys R Us maybe.

If you cannot find an XD model for under 450 dollars...you are not looking very hard.

I'm in SA also. I coudn't find a decent price around here, so I went through Gunbroker. Then did my transfers through River Ranch Outfitters near downtown for $10.

If you live anywhere near a Sportsman Warehouse, They usually have a great selection of XD's. They run from $419-$439. I think they are good prices for a chain. They have decent prices on ammo too.
I got an XD40 SC from Sporting Arms. Got the XML light in the package all for $469. They are very good people to do business with and it is run out of their home.
