I was wondering what caliber AR you own.

I have a .223/5.56. I've been eyeing a .308 or 6.8 SPC. Since I don't have a .308 lower, I may just go with the 6.8 SPC.

I'd go with a 6.5 Grendel.. great blastics. Hard to find the ammo and cost so bucks. But a great hunting cartridge for moose, elk and deer. Some here on the forum has used it on Moose. Going to try that next year.

Mine are in .223 but I'd LOVE to have an upper in 6.5 Grendel. Just can't justify that price for a plinker....at least yet:)

whoops forgot to add my 'other rifle caliber' to the poll.

love my .270 for my whitetail hunting.
.223 & .22 for plinking
9mm for home/ personal defense
.25 for ... nothing really just own a small pistol.

I would love to get a larger caliber hunting rifle or a 6.5 grendel for s and giggles but I can't free up that kind of money for another firearm.

I absolutely love my 10mm setup.

I will hold till the day I die that 10mm is the ultimate carbine caliber.

Have two. Both chambered for the .223.

About 3-4 weeks away from my Spikes Tactical upper arriving in the .22LR caliber. The lower arrived today! :)

20 years with 5.56 (223) Gov issued and loved it. Then fired and tested the impact of the 6.8 SPC and now only use the 6.8 SPC for everything.

It is a little bit heavy with 210 rounds but one round takes out my target. With the 5.56 I had to hit my target(s) often twice before stopping them and it would NOT punch through car doors.

I think the 6.8 SPC is a great improvement to my trusted M16/M4.
