I went to one today too. Just about everything was way overpriced. All I came home with was a set of rails for my AR hand guards.
I love the axis locks. I've had a few dozen knives and the axis lock is by far my favorite. Cold steel has a copy of it that doesn't even come close. My favorite edc is a griptillian, and I've often thought about getting the ritter grip (griptillian with an s30v blade.) I've handled a sebenza once, and it was certaily a fabulous knife, probably worth every penny. I've just never been able to convince myself to spend that much on a knife. All of Chris Reeve's knives are wonderful though. This balisong was quite the lucky catch. The last one I had exactly like it sold for $120. It's a discontinued model so the price will only keep going up.Funny enough, I went to the a gun show today and also got a knife...one of the HK/Benchmade Axis folders. I like it a lot...not sure if it'll replace my Sebenza for EDC, but...it's good kit.
My Sebenza was my first high-end knife; my buddy is into them, his EDC is a Sebenza, and I just loved his...decided I needed one for m'self.I love the axis locks. What make is the pistol in the pic?
The same dealer that let me handle the sebenza had a few of his fixed blades as well. They are hands down the best knives for their price ranges. It sounds like you're talking about one of benchmade's newer models, the morpho. BM has been in the bali business for a very long time, and I'm always hoping the sheeple will learn to appreciate these knives as the art pieces they are rather than the weapon of choice for gangs. Heres a good example. My Sebenza was my first high-end knife; my buddy is into them, his EDC is a Sebenza, and I just loved his...decided I needed one for m'self.
Funny enough, he was looking at a Benchmade balisong today--smaller than yours, titanium w/graphite grips...nice, really nice knife. The dealer also had one similar to yours, as well...the're great knives.
That's right, it's a px4 storm in .45. I love it so far. A lot of people put it down for being too fancy and flashy, but I dont see it. It shoots great, easy to get a good grip on. Only issue I have is the bulky safety, though they make a low profile safety selector for it.What make is the pistol in the pic?
