I shoot with a club that allows compensated guns but no optics.
I have seen a glock with the drop in wolf threaded barrel and
wolf compensator. Is there an easy way to convert the xdm-40
cal. to this type of configuration.I like the xdm feel much better
than the glock 22.

Pistol Gear sells a compensator as well as a treaded barrel for the XD(M).

You did mean .38 Super, didn't you?
Yep your right, I changed it. I was talking to someone else about .38 special in a Ruger revolver and I think it was on the brain.

There have been some 1911s in .38 Special made, but not many.

I've been shooting compensated Glocks for some time now. With Glocks, of course, since there have been so many Glocks sold now for a long time, many more options are available than with XDs, including threaded barrels and compensators.

Don't know if KKM is making barrels for XDs yet, but a KKM barrel with comp would be a nice setup on an XD.

Here's a G21 with a KKM threaded barrel/combo. Shoots like a mildly-loaded 9mm and is really accurate.
