That's good. They need to start selling handguns too.
Ours sells ammo and only bb and airsoft guns  At least we can get ammo
all the walmarts around me sell them.
Only takes about three hours to buy a gun from them. Ill spend the extra money and go to the gun shop and be in and out in 30 minutes if I spend half that deciding on what I want.

We've always had a firearms department at our local Walmart. In fact, they just expanded and remodeled it last year.
I've never been to a Walmart that doesn't sell guns.
They removed all ammo from my local 5 wal marts.... no clue why either, ammo was selling like hot cakes.

I hope they bring it back cause it sucks having to pay a couple bucks more for ammo when I could have gone to wally world and paid less.
My two Walmarts only sell ammo, they used to sell guns, hopefully they will start selling guns again!

Went to 2 Walmarts today (both didn't have stock of household items I needed) and had exactly what he said.
I haven't seen guns in walmart since right after 9/11. That was in va. None in vegas that I know of.
They are all going to start selling guns again. They admitted their mistake recently by going away from them and attempting to sell more "green" products.
It's also an economic decision on their part. Guns, ammo, and accessories are the only consumer good sector that is showing a steady rise in sales even in this bad economy. Here's a good article on the general trend and why the author thinks gun sales are doing so well and he also mentions the reversal by Wal-Mart: Consumers and Investors Seek Protection with Gold and Guns
I guess this is one thing good about sw mo. I haven't been to a walmart that doesn't sell shotguns, youth rifles, and other things.
walmart here in OK has not had guns since around 9/11 either.
here in AZ it depends on the walmart, most don't but a few do

All the Walmarts I've been in in WV sell guns, and by far have the best ammo prices. I did buy a SW stainless 9mm at a walmart in 93. Wife worked there and on employee night (30% off) I picked up a special order that someone had put $100 down and never came back so I got the $600 gun for about $300...soon after that they stopped selling handguns.
Our Walmarts never stopped selling long guns and shotguns. Huge selection of ammo.....
