+1000The easiest way to find out is to ask.
It's none of their business WHAT or WHY you need that much ammo. You could remind them that it's their JOB to SELL you the ammo and that's it. They don't need to know what/why, nor are you at liberty to tell them or offer any more info than "I'll take xx boxes/cases of your ammo. Thank you."From what people here have said, just buying more than a few boxes makes the manager come out and grill you on your 'intentions'?
becuase we are too busy GIVING away what we grow here. To add insult to injury we give it to people that are ungratefull and would just as soon see the US a wasteland.. Why the heck can't we grow our own friggin' food?!
I would have told him "Yeah, that makes sense: work somewhere that sells ammo in a place that allows OC by its citizens. DUH!".... I was OCing and the guy running the register for me said nothing. The older man standing behind the counter decided he wanted to do the 20 questions ...and how he was in vietnam and never wanted to see another firearm in his life. I smiled thanked him for serving and walked out with my arm load of ammo and firearm cleaning supplies.
From what I have heard it is up to the individual manager. I would go in and ask for the manager and see if they would be willing to work with you or not.
Tax stamp, what's that? Not only do the Walmarts in my area not give a bulk ammo discount, but they also will add in the charge of the tax stamp price if you want to buy it in the sealed bulk boxes. To that add the fact that they don't even give you a stamp for the charge.
