Hey Gang,

Was wondering if anyone here has addd a new Tit. Guide Rod for their XDm and what your thoughts were.​

Why on earth would you put a Ti Guide Rod on that?
Ti is strong but light weight, more weight up front less recoil...

Exactly, most guide rods are either solid steel or made from an alloy of tungsten, which is denser than steel. Titanium would be a last choice for a guide rod, it's just not dense enough.

You want a heavier guide rod (tungsten) to control muzzle flip. Titanium adds to the problem.

Titanium is known for galling and can be brittle. It is stronger than steel when both are the same weight. Just as spider web silk is stronger than steel by weight.
