I took the Hellcat to the range and ended up shooting 325 rounds.

100rds - American Eagle 115gr
100rds - Blazer Brass 115gr
50rds - Fiocci 115gr
20 - HST 124 standard
20 - Federal Syntech 138gr JHP
20 - Barnes Tac XPD 115gr
14- Golden Saber 124+p

I shot all the rounds pretty much as quick as pulling trigger reload shoot again not much rest, I had no malfunctions the gun ran great. I left my thumb on the slide release button a couple times and the slide did not stay open on empty mag and that was my fault.

So the Hellcat definitely is more snappy than a 365 or 43, you can certainly feel it.

Everything about this gun feels solid and I really like the finish. The one thing i don't care for is the rear sight the channel is to narrow, the smiley don't bother me I need more light through the rear sight and better sight picture so the rear sight channel should be wider but this can be fixed on down the road with a different rear sight I'm not going to worry about it right now, for now it's all about reliability and dependability.

I think James was saying that the complaint with the XDS is the sticky mag release, and that the Hellcat uses a different design (Glock-style) to fix that problem. So it should automatically be better. Check his video in the other thread for more info.
Yes, the XDS and Hellcat use two different types of mag release designs. The Hellcat uses a Glock design and is not sticky.

Shot another 200rds through my Hellcat today with no issues, I can tell you I do not shoot it as well as the 365 not even close. I measured the trigger weight at between 5.75lbs and 7lbs depending at where on the trigger I weighed it, in the very center of trigger it averaged around 6.2Ibs a little heavy for my liking. I would to say again the reset is very nice strong and audible.

I believe the heavy trigger and the rear sight the rear sight my eyes just don't like and that is why I just don' t shoot it as well as I do most guns I usually don't have a problem with even the very small guns this one I need to work with but it seems very tough and up for the challenge. Below is a few of my empty brass pics which look okay to me it's a very strong striker spring and it's moving some metal on the primer as you can see.

So I told my gunshop to get me a hellcat osp model. They said not sure how long it will be, their supplier does not have any. This will be my first venture into this size of 9mm. Not being a sig fan I never even thought about going this route. After reading about the hellcat and owning other Springfield’s I decided I want one. High round count and already documented reliability. I like the looks of the sights and feel I will really like them. I want the osp model because I might add the red dot sight later, maybe not but I do have the option. As my eyes get older the red dot might be what I need and like. Can anyone tell me what all red dot sights will fit the hellcat? I have heard there are 3, is this correct? A jp, sig, and one other one. Not sure if game changer describes the hellcat but I do believe it will be a huge success and super popular. Has some great features!!! Can’t wait to get it.
