I went to my grandparents yesterday and had our family thanksgiving. My grandpa knew I was bringing my handgun and when I got there he had all his guns layed out and loaded. We went out after dinner and had some fun. He had a couple paper targets set up ~30yds away. And a metal 5 gal bucket about ~75yds away. I read about shooting techniques and tried out Springer's hold. I blasted through the paper targets with awesome groups. The bucket was set up for the 22-250 and 303 he had, but I aimed for it with my xd9 and hit 4 out of 5 shots (first was for reference) I couldn't believe it. At 75yds all I had to do was put the bucket behind the front sight and it was dead on. My family was amazed at the accuracy of this pistol. It's things like that that make me realize I made the right choice!
