I gotta thing for blued guns. Nickel is harder to keep clean.

i have a blued 29 i got from a friend. i dig it, much more classic look but i think the nickel with a houge grip looks much better.

Looking at a new one, sort of swayed to blued.All the older ones I see for sale are well used. Seems owners of them keep them for a long time.
The reason I asked is that the quality of bluing on earlier Smiths is superior to what is produced today.

Yes I like the earlier bluing better, it is just hard to find one that is not well used. That early blue is such a deep blue I wonder what they changed?
Some of the chemicals used in the hot bluing salts were banned by the EPA.
