Can anyone tell me if the XD40 Sub comes in stainless (bi-tone)? If so, what is the model number?

Also, do all of them come with 10rd mags now?

Anyone install the Pearce grip extensions?

Anyone try a Hogue slip on? I have one that I modified and use on my XD40 service pistol and love it.

What about Don's guide rod, is there one for the sub? I love it on my service pistol.

Any info appreciated.

The Pearce grip extensions are a must have. They make the difference in the grip like night and day. Much more comfortable. I think you can get the new XD Gear XTension mags for the .40 from Springfield Armory now. What you need to do is get on the SA website and check there to see if the bi-tone is available. While there get the 800 number for SA and call them. Ask them to send you their new catalog and the new XD Gear catalog. Be prepared to wait about 60 days to get any mags or holsters for the XD's from them. Big backlog due to the popularity of the XD.

When you buy the Subcompact new, comes with 1 10 round mag and 1 XD Gear X Tension mag. 15 rounds for the 9mm, unknown for the .40.[/b]

Don told me a couple of weeks ago that although producing a guide rod for the SC isn't a problem, finding the proper springs is.

He offered to send me a rod if I wanted to experiment with springs.

I don't, so he didn't.

I got a new XD40sc the other week. $479. It came with one 9 round mag that I have since added a Pearce to. It also came with a mag that has an extension (from the factory) that gives a total capacity of 12 in the mag. Gives the grip the feel of a full size. And it is 2 tone.
