my parents sent me $200 for x-mas, and I am tossed up between getting a sat. radio for my truck, or putting it towards a XD sub compact. How much should I expect to pay for a SC XD .40?

The same as a service model. A plain subcompact costs the same as a service model around here-$419 at KY Imports. One of our retail gun stores here wanted for 449 for a regular XD-eek. I paid $459 for my service bi-tone after hearing about finish problems.

There's a local gunstore here in KY called Bud's Gun Shop which is the cheapest I ahve ever seen if you can do a dealer transfer.

I would suggest the sattelite radio.. hell, you already have the gun... I love Sattelite radio!! I have XM in the JEEP, frankly, I don't know how I ever lived without it! I am kind of a right winger (if you havn't already noticed) and I like being able to catch FOX News on my way into work.. or Glenn Beck, Or Rusty Humphries... etc... They have music on the thing too! A hundred channels of crystal clear music... go figure!

Nascar, Discovery, CNN, PMSMBC, etc.... I like my XM Radio. I have the "roady" which works well for me. I can unplug it from my car and bring it onto the boat, or wherever so that I don't have to listen to Mike and Brian ever again!!!

(I am kind of a radio junkie.. so I am sorry if I seem overly exuberant about XM..)

Actually finding the XD Sub in a .40 is the hard part. I just sold mine on gunbroker for $450 new in box. They are still scarce. Good Luck!
