I was wondering, can I shoot steel casings from my XDm? I have talked to friends who have Glocks and they said steel is an absolute no-no in a glock. Are XDs the same way?

That's because an XD is far superior to some crappy Glock.

XD's are like fat chicks, they eat anything you put in front of them..

Shoot away
thats awesome! thanks for the help!

Most weapons manufactured today will fire steel or brass with equal ease; the only problems you may encounter are with carbon fouling in the chambers when using steel-cased. It doesn't expand the same as brass upon firing and may leave a small gap around the outer circumference. You might encounter some stuck cases when using brass in weapons designed for steel, also due to this expansion. In my experience a worry about excessive wear on extractors themselves just from using steel cased is usually either unfounded or exaggerated.

My Glock HATES steel cases.... XDM has fired everything I've put through it.

I'd not have any questions about putting steel case through my XD/XDM.
