What is it about shooting steel that is so satisfying, and addictive? For me it is the instant postive audio feedback of a hit.

Here's a video I shot at my gun club today....nothing like a big chunk of lead hitting a big steel plate. I'm shooting my Springfield loaded.

Agreed! Plates are awesome! Its the same reason I love shooting clays which have the added bonus of exploding!

Damn stupid suburbs, our club doesn't let us shoot steel on our own time ever since construction of a suburban area close by. Only time is when we have steel challenge. Its understandable since I really dont want the club shut down.

I agree, steel rocks! First time I did it, that was all I wanted to shoot...well, that and bowling pins. Sadly, my range won't allow it and I don't have enough land to build a range anymore.
