From the minute I opened the box I could tell this was a quality piece. It's everything the reviews have stated it is, its a CZ 75 clone that's taken to another level. The double action trigger on mine is right at 10lbs and the single action is exactly 3.5lbs. After I cleaned it and applied some TW25 to the rails I took it to the range and again it performed as good or better than any handgun I've ever shot.

Wow. Between you and @Snaphook, you're really tempting me, since I haven't yet ordered my P07. Does the Sphinx come configured with a decocker, and how does its trigger compare to the Omega trigger?
It's decock only, there is no option (at least in the box) to go safety. The Sphinx trigger is cloned after the standard CZ 75 (non Omega) trigger design. I've had very little trigger time with the Omega trigger but I believe this trigger is a bit smoother with a lighter, cleaner SA break. This trigger has zero creap in SA, its just a clean snap. The reset is where this trigger shines compared to the CZ's. It's short with a nice snap and the trigger is left at the wall, no travel after the reset.

I'll be the first to say that the P09 and P07 are really excellent guns that are a an incredible value. I was torn between the P07 and the Sphinx and I am very glad I chose the Sphinx, in fact I'm already saving my funds for a full size once they make there way into the US.

Congrats! I agree with your trigger descriptions 100%, in SA it's a glass rod breaking and an instant reset that is audible and you can feel. Also the trigger feels like each movement is aided by ball bearings. Couldn't be smoother.

I had mine out today with my "gold standard" for accurate 9's (and one of my all time favorite guns) my X5 Sig and the Sphinx is just behind it with a trigger that is as good as the Sig, and the Sig is a full size dedicated target gun.

The Galco IWB in HK45 compact is a pretty perfect fit for the Sphinx, once I get a few dozen SD rounds down the Sphinx it's my new "large" carry gun. As far as price LP I got mine from Buds at 850, I think they run more on Gun Broker but I wouldn't be surprised to see them come down a bit.

Congrats again yellow, we do seem to like the same guns!

When the full size Sphinx makes its way stateside it's going to be a tough decision between it and an X-Five.

Argh, you guys are KILLIN' me! Congrats, BTW. ;)
I blame Snaphook...I was all set to get the CZ P07. Then he went and ordered one of these and his range report sold me. Honestly though, I can't say enough good things about this one. Any CZ fan would love it.

My dealer emailed me today, the Sphinx SDP Subcompact will arrive tomorrow. I'm still waiting on the price. This one is going to tempt me.

It loses a little in height and width as well. Just not sure it loses enough till I get my paws on it to try it out.
