Hey guys got a problem just wondering if anybody else has had this problem. The slide on my service 4" will stay back if a round is chambered and the slide is pushed back against the saftey stop. It will not push the slide completely forward. Gun won't fire if its in this position. It dosen't do it if the gun is empty as bad empty gun slide will close completely. I have added dons guide rod and 22lb spring but it does it with the stock setup aswell. The gun will cycle properly but if you just push the slide against the saftey it will stay there. I am worried I might draw the gun and it might somehow get into this possition and not fire when I need it to. I am really thinking of keeping my Stainless uspc 45 as my ccw gun and just tossin this thing in the back of the safe. Any ideas?????? I have had the gun refinished so I am wondering if SA will still warranty the gun (diamond kote)?

When you say the slide stays back against the safety stop. Is it fully to the rear and is the slide lock engaged?
Is there an empty mag in the gun when this occurs?

I think it is a simple as the diamond kote adding just enough to the thickness on the slide and rails to make this happen. I will guess that you have not shot it much since you had it refinished. Shoot it a bunch more and the problem should go away.
