Just bought an XD9 Tactical. Ran about 50 rested rounds through it and I think I need to drift adjust my rear sight. Right now, its cooling its heels for the STOOPID California 10 day wait. Anyone adjusted the standard factory sights out there and how do you do it?

You probably need a sight pusher to adjust them.
Got a question for you though. Where in california can you test fire the gun before you buy it?
I was able to do this at an indoor range in Artesia called Insight that also sells guns. The deal was that I had to decide to buy it first and fill out the paperwork. The owner let me take it to the range side and run some rounds through it. I had previously shot a rental XD40 Tactical at that range earlier that day and that was what won me over from Glock. So it was not "shoot and then buy" rather "buy then shoot" for a little while.

You can get a nylon punch and a hammer, and drift them. It's kind of hard to do though. Just remember FORS (front opposite, rear same). I'd probably just take it to a smith. If you have night sights, you almost have to use a sight pusher.

insight is my favorite indoor range! real orginized and the people that run it are totally nice.
AMEN to that! The staff are the salt of the earth! I belong to Firing-Line and usually shoot at the Huntington Beach location; smaller but a great range. Super reasonable for membership and as a member, gun rentals are free.
