I am selling my stoeger cougar to help me buy a new to me but used p226 (one from west germany), but Today i got an email from a guy where the gun is listed (a classified website) and he offered me a month old sig p250c in 40. Should I do it? i mean it is a sig, but its not THE sig i want. What would you guys do. any help would be appreciated. plus i would like a 9mm and i know i could just swap a barrel in but that costs even more money soooo I am kinda stuck on whether to accept his trade or not.

If you don't get the one you want; you will just end up getting it later.

I agree with this.

get the p226. Much better gun IMO.
agree get the 226...
Dont settle, get the p226

Get the 9mm P226..

I had my P250 for a month before I sold it.
The P250 ran $650 when they came out, after lackluster sales, they can be bought for $400 now.

The P226 is the best Sig for the range..

Which one do you think you really want?;)

My P226 Navy was my most accurate Sig, out of the 6 Sigs I've owned.

No to the P250. Not anywhere near as nice or the quality. I'd go with the 226. Only Sig nicer than the 226 is the 229

A Sig just shouldn't be plastic ;)

You can buy a new 250 around here for less than 4 bills.

Run, don't walk, away from the 250 as fast as you can!

nice!

Doesn't Sig offer a refurb plan for the pistols...or something like that.

they have a silly name for it but it's not expensive and they run through the gun and replace springs and stuff as needed.

I think you you'll be very happy with that pistol.

as for the finish, I say leave it! It's got a handsome patina as the hotrodders call it.

Agree with the above posters, the P226 is a definite. Love mine and always looking for a second.

I have not tried the P250, but I also love my SigPro 2022. Plastic Sigs do work and well.
