I ended up going to an IDPA match, it was basically my first. I shot one several years ago before I had much experience shooting. I didn't do fantastically well, but it was a lot of fun. I was shooting my XD-45 Tac, with some factory duplication loads that ended up being much more powerful than necessary to make minor.

I'm pretty sure I shot too slow, I only had two hits in the -1 zone for the whole match.

Anyway,
of 5 of the stages that I took with a GoPro camera.

Looks like you had fun!

Hits are good! Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. I am still working on the smooth part myself........

yeah, nice southpaw :) i liked seeing that from POV. i've always wondered how matches went down. i haven't had a chance to go to any and the only videos i saw were of third person stationary positions... not the best for understanding and seeing. thanks for posting!

Nice video, good job. A tip, when shooting thru windows or apetures, keep the gun back. It's faster & less prone to a malfunction if the slide hits the top in recoil, you get into & out of the shooting position faster & it's tactically more sound. A BG on the other side can grab the gun. Now you need to find an outdoor club.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to give that a try. I do hate indoor ranges, and have to agree that somewhere else would be better.
