Anybody have a suggestion for a brand of spotting scope for using at a 50 foot indoor range? I don't need one for long distance.

I'm looking for decent quality at a low price, <<$100.

Thanks,
Tom

cheep pair of binoculars would probably work fine.

if you want a good long distance spotter, go to a surveying store and get whats called a "transect scope". they are about $150 and you can see farther and more clear than "other" spotting scopes.

to give you an example. at 600yrds i could see 1" lettering, and almost read it.

Bushnell makes some lower end spotting scopes that work very nicely and are variable power but for 50' I would think Binos might be better.

CDNN has a special on the Winchester 15-45x50 Spotting Scope, with a tripod and really nice aluminum carrying case, for $49.99 right now. The scopes are made by Vanguard and I was surprised at the clarity for the price. It's not as good as my Weatherby, but there was about $200 difference in price, too.

Hope this helps.

I wish I had the need for one. I think this is a no brainer. Comes with case and full size tri-pod! Deal of the year and I really like their customer service. Shipping is just $10, so load up on their other deals while you are at it!
